Service Description

Goatee.io provides an AI-powered tool that allows users to:

Upload photos and preview different goatee and beard styles
Generate realistic virtual transformations
Save and download generated images
Explore various facial hair styles

User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account with accurate information.

Account Security

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

Account Termination

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Goatee.io only for lawful purposes. You may NOT:

Upload inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
Use the service to harass, defame, or harm others
Attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit our AI technology
Use automated systems to access our service without permission
Share or distribute generated images that violate others' rights
Use the service for any fraudulent or deceptive purposes

Because Goatee.io generates AI images, your use is also governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, which sets out the prohibited content categories (including sexual/NSFW, violent, hateful, child-unsafe, deepfake/impersonation, and infringing content), how we moderate content, how to report violations, and the enforcement actions we may take. Violating that policy is a violation of these Terms and may result in content removal and account suspension or termination.

Content Guidelines

Your Content

You retain ownership of photos you upload
By uploading, you grant us a license to process images for service delivery
You are responsible for having rights to any images you upload

Generated Content

AI-generated images may be used for personal purposes on all plans, including the free plan
Commercial use of your generated images is permitted for users on a paid plan that includes commercial usage rights (see the Pricing page for which plans include this)
You may download and share your generated images
We do not claim ownership of your generated content

Intellectual Property

Our Property

The following are owned by Goatee.io and protected by intellectual property laws:

Our application code, website design, and user interface
Our prompt engineering, orchestration logic, and style library and presets
Our branding and trademarks

Goatee.io builds on third-party AI models and APIs that remain the property of their respective providers; our use of them is governed by those providers' terms. We do not claim ownership of the underlying foundation models.

Restrictions

You may not:

Copy, modify, or distribute our application code, interface, or branding
Use our branding without permission
Create derivative works based on our service

Payment and Subscriptions

Pricing

Free tier with limited generations
Premium plans with additional features
Prices are subject to change with notice

Refunds

Goatee.io sells digital credits and AI-generated content that are delivered instantly, so purchases are generally non-refundable. As a goodwill policy:

Subscriptions: If you purchased a subscription and have not used any credits during the current billing period, you may request a full refund within 7 days of that payment by emailing support@goatee.io. Once any credits have been used or content has been generated, that billing period is non-refundable.
Credits: Credits are non-refundable once used and expire at the end of their validity period; unused credits are not exchangeable for cash.
Free tier: The free preview involves no charge and is not subject to refunds.
How to request: Email support@goatee.io with your account email and order reference. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have under the consumer laws of your country (for example, EU/UK rights of withdrawal for digital content that has not yet been accessed).

Service "As Is"

Goatee.io is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

Uninterrupted or error-free service
Specific results or accuracy of AI generations
Compatibility with all devices or browsers

AI Limitations

Our AI technology:

May produce varying results
Is continuously improving
May not work perfectly with all photos

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Goatee.io shall not be liable for:

Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Loss of data or generated content
Service interruptions or errors
Third-party actions or content

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Goatee.io from any claims arising from:

Your use of the service
Your violation of these terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
