Acceptable Use Policy

Goatee.io lets you upload a photo and generate an AI preview of goatee and beard styles. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets the rules for what you may upload and generate. It applies to everyone who uses the service and forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

By uploading a photo or generating an image, you agree to this policy.

Content Standards — Prohibited Content

You may not upload, generate, request, store, or share any content that falls into the following categories. This list is not exhaustive; we may act on anything we reasonably consider harmful, unlawful, or abusive.

1. Sexual or Adult Content (NSFW)

No pornographic, sexually explicit, or otherwise adult ("NSFW") content, including nudity, sexual acts, or sexualized depictions of any person.

2. Violence or Gore

No content depicting graphic violence, gore, self-harm, or content that promotes, incites, or glorifies violence against any person or group.

3. Hate Speech

No content that attacks, demeans, harasses, or promotes hatred or discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or any other protected characteristic.

4. Child-Unsafe Content (CSAM)

Absolutely no content that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits minors, including any child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We do not knowingly permit minors to use the service, and any suspected CSAM will be removed, preserved, and reported to the relevant authorities (such as NCMEC) as required by law.

5. Deepfakes & Impersonation

No uploading photos of another person without their explicit consent, and no generating content intended to impersonate, defraud, mislead, or create deceptive "deepfake" depictions of real individuals (including public figures) — for example to fabricate statements, actions, or endorsements.

6. Copyright & Trademark Infringement

No uploading or generating content that infringes another party's copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, or other intellectual-property or proprietary rights. Only upload images you own or are authorized to use.

Other Prohibited Uses

You also may not use the service to break the law, defraud or deceive, harass or defame others, distribute malware, scrape or abuse the service with automated tools, attempt to bypass safety filters, or reverse-engineer our technology.

Content Moderation

We moderate content through a combination of automated and human review:

• Provider safety filters. Uploaded photos are processed by third-party AI image providers (see our Privacy Policy) that apply their own automated safety systems, which can refuse or block prohibited requests.
• Signals & reports. We review content that is flagged to us through the reporting channel below, or that is surfaced by abuse-prevention signals.
• Human review. Where a report or signal warrants it, a member of our team reviews the content and account and decides on action.

We do not manually pre-screen every single generation, but we act on violations we detect or that are reported to us.

Reporting Violations

If you believe content or an account violates this policy — including content depicting you without consent, impersonation, infringement, or child-safety concerns — please report it so we can act quickly.

Please include the relevant details (a description of the content, any URL or image, the reason it violates this policy, and your contact information). We review reports promptly and prioritize child-safety and non-consensual-content reports.

Enforcement Actions

When we determine that this policy has been violated, we may take one or more of the following actions, at our discretion and without prior notice where appropriate:

• Remove or disable the offending content.
• Suspend or permanently terminate the account and revoke access, without refund and with forfeiture of any remaining credits where the violation warrants it.
• Block repeat or severe offenders from creating new accounts.
• Preserve evidence and notify law enforcement or the appropriate authorities where required by law (in particular for CSAM or credible threats of harm).

Nothing in this policy limits any other rights or remedies available to us under the Terms of Service or applicable law.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised date below.
